Fourier is the 26th xkcd comic.
The comic refers to what is called a 'Fourier Transform': a mathematical operation that decomposes a signal into its constituent frequencies. Thus the Fourier transform of a musical chord is a mathematical representation of the amplitudes of the individual notes that make it up. Performing a fourier transform on a physical entity such as a person or an animal is of course impossible.
